Privacy Policy

Effective October 16, 2026

Hearvia shows live translated subtitles for audio from other apps or the microphone, on iPhone and Mac. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. This policy explains what happens to the audio it hears.

Audio

Hearvia listens only while you have started it, and only to the source you chose: other apps' sound or the microphone. On iPhone, listening to other apps uses iOS screen sharing; Hearvia keeps only the sound and discards the screen images immediately. Hearvia never records audio to a file.

Transcripts and settings

Transcripts you keep, your settings and your API keys are stored only on your device (API keys in the system Keychain). Hearvia doesn't upload them. If you turn on "Sync with iCloud", transcripts are also kept in your own iCloud account so they appear on your other devices; Apple stores them, and the developer can't see them. Otherwise a transcript leaves your device only when you share or export it yourself.

Permissions

Hearvia asks for microphone access, screen sharing for other apps' sound (iPhone) or audio capture (Mac), and speech recognition. You can turn any of them off in Settings.

Children

Hearvia isn't directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
